Child care teachers work daily with children during the day and must foster an atmosphere of trust, love, and security. Your child will be involved in activities that will enrich their social, emotional, and physical growth. . They must incorporate physical and mental awareness to assist the children with their daily activities, plan new activities and projects for them to do each day, and be mindful and aware of their safety at all times. Some of the other daily tasks with the children include reading to them, preparing food and snacks, and playing games. Child care teachers work with other teachers in a child care setting--usually lead teachers and teacher aides. Child care teachers work directly with children, helping them with their playtime, snacks and any learning activities. Child care teachers also plan activities for the children and keep the classroom clean. Teachers must also be able to interact with the children’s parents and communicate any problems or issues to them.
